WHich is worst, LA or Orange country traffic?
Yesterday I was stuck in the 55N and entered the FWY at Paularino and to get to the 5 FWY took us 42 minutes in crawling traffic. I think that distance is about 4.8 miles.
I did get to watch this thing creep along. Is that the new Honda emblem?

Hey that's my route in the morning when I carpool. I now cut off on the 22 to get down to work since 55 South is horrible. When traffic starts bunching up at Katella, that's a good sign that it will be traffic all the way to the 405.

yea the 55N can be bad, but LA freeways are worse, 405 freeway is like a parking lot i heard, and takes me a good hour to get to school cuz there's traffic from west covina all the way to the 710

For as much as there is no new real estate, it baffles me how the area still continues to increase in population. Wha...nobody moves out but keeps a multi-generational family with as many cars?!
On a Friday or Sat night at the reastaurant or movies I think to myself, "Where the heck do all these people come from?!" Commutes...I loved swing shift though now days, leaving for work at 2:30 I hit the early going home traffic. Midnight is a sweet drive if I can avoid all the drunks. Graveyard the commute is much nicer but being a zombie 12 hours off from everyone else sucks.

I remember the first few days after getting the LS: I have this nice riding car and the drives will be pleasant. We'll nothing like breaking it in by sitting in traffic.

I think that certain parts of OC are pretty bad because of construction on the freeways. But overall, it is much much better! I have lived here most of my life, since I was 2 years old (before that I was in Vietnam). I remember when the El Toro Y used to be a nightmare to drive, but now that they widened it to 26 lanes at its widest, it's much better than before.
I live about a mile south of Disneyland, and my wife works in Irvine so she has to fight that 55 to the 5 interchange everyday. Sorry for her, but lucky for me I sell real estate - I just don't make any appointments during rush hour
