It was really good to meet you guys. I'm glad that we had the opportunity today. Thanks Mike for organizing the little meet and the caravan.

Perry...yeah, we were wondering where you went. Maybe next time.

Thanks Liz, Jess and Ronald for the goodies!

Talking Thanks!

Hey! ha ha! I had a blast this weekend guys/gals! It was nice to finally meet some of you and, like Elizabeth said, put faces to these screen names. Thanks to everyone who showed up and helped to make this a nice gathering. If I knew I could gather so many cool Lexus's near my pad on such short notice I would have done it a long time ago.

We need to get together more often!!! (even though I know our schedules are hectic)

Thanks to Lextreme, Jay, and everyone else who brought and/or helped cook food, it was tiiiiight! Very well done peeps, let's do it again sometime...

-Mike

Thumbs up Thanks, Jessie!!!

Thanks to lexus4jess' generosity at Ralph's, I now have an aluminum license plate frame instead of the usual dealer plate I've used for seven years.

I used some 600 grit wet sandpaper, then 2000 grit, then some Simichrome metal polish to shine it up a bit. It is better to show it off in just this thread, so he is not bothered with incessant frame requests from the general population!

Hey Perry,
What dealer plate do you have. I've always wanted a "Beverly Hills Lexus". Do you happen to have one of those?
That frame is looking good though!

Default Glad ya like....!

I bought my SC from Carlsbad Lexus, so that's what on my old frame.

I agree- if there was a frame that said "Lexus / Beverly Hills", I'd love one of those myself!

Unfortunately, the Bev Hills Lexus dealer is Jim Falk Lexus, so that's what their plates say. (Jim Falk is actually a DBA name, incidentally- the real owner's name sounds much more middle-eastern!) Since it is free advertising for them, I think they'd give a frame up easily if you asked.

I know of the Jim Falk dealership and I've seen their plates. But I've also seen some older Lexus' with Beverly Hills plates. I'm assuming that these are older plates, before they started using the Jim Falk ones.

Hey Howard or Perry for that matter....
Give them a call or stop by and ask each department if they have one stashed somewhere....Also, there could be a trade-in that might have these frames. Or if you see someone cruising around, flag them down and ask if they'll trade for a newer frames....lol
I know when I started here in Oxnard, I found a bunch of older stuff....like the original Lexus of Oxnard frames - before DCH bought them over. I also found a 1995-1996 brochure for the SC, 1999 and 2000 SC brochure. They gave me all kinds of good old school stuff.

once youre ready for the HIDs...or the drop for that matter, we can do either in my garage
same goes to all you guys that would be willing to drive down to culver city that dont have a garage handy. If any of you guys are up to making a small donation with enough of us, we could get a nice floor jack from costco ($80) and a pair of jackstands ($15) and i already have most of the other tools necessary to do almost anything. Ill be clearing out that garage so it will be available for us to use.

also...that clublexus banner would look sick on my wall
