I am curious as to which shop you are speaking of..... I'm assuming this recommendation is from personal experience....

half of my car was completely repainted recently due to some random keying. BUT it looks good now. i went through my insurance, and took it to a preferred shop called "Auto Prestige Too" in Torrance. they did a good job with the paint match, etc. i'd recommend them.

Default Complete repaint price range?

Since we are talking about the complete repaint job here, I would like to ask you what will be the reasonable price range for this job? Any price that you paid before?
I am not talking about Maaco job (The least expensive).

Yeah, but it's not perfect and you have to go back to have a few parts here and there fixed...

its really hard to say how much with out a body shop looking at hte car first, but i know it will probably cost half as much as mob or m1 would charge, if insurance paid for it i would take it to the bigger shops but if it was out of your pockets, that might be a little too much to fork out in my opinion.

Without a doubt, joe at Backyard Creations (TempleCity, CA) is the best paint guy I've run across. He painted my brother's Corolla GT-S (AE86) about two years ago and I am about to send him my beloved '85 AW11 MR2. Joe did my Explosion kit on my GS- he is also going to install the Veilside kit and paint my brother's first-gen GS 300 in 2005.

I have sent a few customers to him, not one person has been disappointed. The guys does CRAZY stuff with carbon fiber, aluminum, steel, etc., and it doesn't hurt that he is an Art Center (Pasadena) grad.
Oh yeah, he worked for Porsche doing carbon fiber, too.

He's not cheap, but I doubt you will ever find a more honorable and passionate car customizer!

PM me if you want his cell #.

I would also recommend Joe. I had my L-Sportline repainted by him and very happy with the results.
