I got 2 tickets for no front plates in the last 2 months and I haven't had front plates for any of my cars since 2001. I think they're picking up on it lately, especially in the 626 area. Having a plate in the dash actually draws the pig's attention even faster to pull you over, since that isn't legal either. You'd might as well not put one at all rather than putting it on the dash. There's crooked cops everywhere, find one and they'll sign off your fix-it tickets for you, just like how I did mines. I got pulled over yesterday too btw, for incorrect lane usage on the 10 freeway when I tried to beat traffic on the exit lane, he asked about my front plate, but I just said I already have a ticket for that and the bracket is on the way in the mail, so he let me slide on that one.. So thats a lie you guys can put to use also.. it works! haha

chp pulled me over for no front plate 6 months ago
and then accused me of stealing my own car
even after i gave then proof of registration and insurance
he had me on the side of the road for over n hour
guess they dont like seeing people have nice things
but he regrets it know b-cuz now i have a law suit againts him and chp

Here in MN the front plate is required although it isn't in many states. I haven't had one on my car for awhile now, but i'm planning on getting personalized plates (then I won't mind having a front )

FYI.. I notice a plate in the windsheild WAY before i would notice one missing on the bumper and if I was a cop, I would immediately give extra attention to someone who put their plate up there (are they about to rob a gas station or something?) Around here only the ghetto integras and such throw the plate up there

I've had my car without front plate like forever, untill...... *crys*

.....untill I got pulled over in LAX for no front plate and wrong front signal color....blah I thought white is ok for the front.....I guess it has to be amber....sigh

well according to carls' post..... you shouldn't have gotten that ticket (unless your front lens are blue or something... or it flashes blue)

So according to the law, our front turn signals can be white? I think I will stick to amber but for the sake of say...GS owners, getting the JP tails would be no problem (if it worked for rears...)

I have no front or rear license plate for about 2.5 yrs......I have a DUB plate on the back .....I ve been pulled over once and it wasnt for the plate.. it was for my tinted windows and since i didnt have my plate I got a fix it ticket for both ......got the fix it ticket taken care of and took off the plate again
