93 LS - One Day Paint and Body experiences?
Hi Guys.
I've got an opportunity to pick up a 1993 LS 400 with 130,000. for about $5500.
It's been very well maintained with all repair receipts and was purchased directly from Lexus Corporate at a lease return.
The interior is in really good shape and the seats have been covered with Sheepskin. It does need a paint job and to have a few dings fixed.
Is it worth it to buy this car and have the paint and bodywork done at 1 Day paint and Body?
thanks,
Sean

They are supposed to offer varying levels of body work. Given the cars I have seen from them, I wouldn't take it there. It looks like a rush job and low quality.
Might run yours by a detail guy to see what he can do to it. The factory paint is very good and even if neglected, so long as it isn't flaking off, it can be brought back to look very nice.

1-day paint is what people do when they're about to sell that car.. if you find the right bodyshop, 1-day paint will actually look good for about a year or 2, and starts turning into crap after that.. and don't forget about overspray and orange peel... I think you should look for another LS with better paint/body. But if you have the money, throw it into a nice quality paint job..

be unique!
-.- primer ur car and paint with Hot Rod black , if u are on low budget, hehe
it might turn out pretty good? u never know hehe
but then again , maybe a ding king, and some claybar might help, instead of painting it.
