What shops in So Cal can perform the same lighting mods? Id rather drive somewhere and have it done than yank it out myself and not have a gauge for a week since its my only car

None really. Just pull the cluster, ship it, and wait about a week until you get it back. There's really no other viable alternative locally man, trust me, I've searched. Just make sure to top off your tank every few days, that's about all you have to worry about.

i know a guy who can do it in Orange County. But i highly doubt he has time to do it for other members. He works all the time....
