Unless I can catch up to you guys
3pm and 5 pm would be bad for LA/OC Traffic. Do you guys want to do it early Saturday morning? I am trying to wrap up my work and see if I can roll in on Saturday. I hope things will clear up so I can drive up.

well there is a get together friday night so i guess everyone is trying to crash that. plus some of them got hotels already

seriously though, gsxotic has a point. if you can't leave LA area by 2pm friday, don't leave until 7pm or so. getting on the freeway beween 3 to 6 on friday is suicide. from LA to grapevine will take you 2 hours easy i think

Thanks for the suggestions. I already booked the room, so might as well tough it out through LA And gf couldn't sneak off work early.

Any place for the SoCal crew to wash the rides? Cars will be pretty nasty after the ride up and I know I'm not the only one that will want to clean the rides on Sat.

There's a DIY car wash around the corner from the hotel.

Everything is close, to the Hotel.

Food - The hotel is in a mall.
rominl's house 1.2 miles
my house 2.4 miles
restaurant for Friday dinner 3.5 miles
Stevens Creek Meet location - 3.5 miles
car wash 2 miles
Having my cell# for all these directions? Priceless!

Hey Big Papa, it depends on the part of town youre in. But if youre in the Sunnyvale area, Theres one on El Camino the cross street would be Wolf .Its NOT the Shell wash Its an independant type self wash, thats a block away. I like that one mainly because you can use forced air to dry if you like. And its also clean and well kept. Also its not in a super shady or seedy area. A big plus , is once your done , You can cruise the El camino and show off the ride .
FYI Use caution though, Theres a crackdown underway for modified vehicles here in the southbay. Ive been cited twice this week for tint and once for no front plate.
Anyhow you all have a fun AND safe trip up here !

Let me do a Mapquest and I'll post it shortly.

There's some things money just can't buy.

For everything else, there's me.

Is there a car wash close by where lazy people can pay someone else to do the work?

I'm in the same exact situation. GF's just don't understand the importance of the convoy

Thanks for the suggestions about traffic. I live in the SFV, so I'm not far from getting out of LA. Me and my gf have make this trip a lot, since we both have family up there, and we usually leave around this time anyway, since the gf has a pretty strict work schedule.
