Exclamation sup socal cl noob here. look what happened on the 91 today>>

first of all i would like to say hello to all the CL people, especially all the SoCal ones

ill let the picture explain this happened today 10/26 at 5:20pm. where the 91 and 5 meet. i was going west bound on the 91

i have no idea. i was just driving down the 91(in the slow lane), then i smelled something burning, next thing i know sum dude yelled "you got a flat!!!" pulled over and see that.

look like thats what happened ...you had a flat and continued to drive on it ...I gotten flats and didnt know until somebody told me ...

What psi are you running on your tires? Rule of thumb is to subtract 10 from the max load and that should be the psi when your car is running warm.

at least the rim doesn't look damaged. that black stuff on the wheel is tire rubber right????

I does appear in that photo that it was possibly a sidewall split, just guessing.

BTW regarding our disdain for Bridgestones, I have replaced my S03's with Toyo Proxy 4's and I have been very pleased.

yes the sidewall did split. going with some 245/40-275/35

go to my gallery to see my wifes GS4 (Alpine Silver). It has the fat set up and is also lowered, with L Tuned shox and springs.

i replaced mine with michelin ps2 and also just put on toyo T1-R on my other car and both are excellent so far

and byron... fat setup is cool... im thinking about going that route myself... but with fat u will be much more limited in which tires u can buy... personally im sticking with michelin ps2 cuz they also have the fat sizes
