Thanks guys for the advice. I would have made more of a stink if not for the fact that I am very busy (usually changing coilovers). The fact that the alignment took so long is not what bothered me. It was the lack of communication and that fact that the service advisor told me that the car would be ready by 6pm after I raised a stink. He never said that and told me that it would take 2-3 hours.
That said I did receive a PM from someone there-most likely from this thread and will respond in kind. I need another alignment again so I may give them another try. I always believe in giving another chance and if I go there again I will post what happened. So busy this week with T-Day coming up.
thanks
Lee

Default Service at Glendale

Luckily, we just got a new Parts and Service Director that is taking charge. A few of the service advisors didn't make the cut. I'm sorry that it was a frustrating experience, but it's really not the norm. We are always improving.

Most dealerships don't have same day appointments, comp. loaner cars on the same day or without an appointment, and they don't have loaner cars with navigation, either. I have called everyone in the Southern California area and sat and waited on hold for minutes before getting an automated operator. You can always talk to a human at Lexus of Glendale. So if there is an issue, you really should voice it (in a calm manner...)

Luckily, there's a manager that combs these threads and takes it all into consideration, but it makes our jobs easier to know at the point of the issue, instead of later. And beleive it or not, we actually care. That's also a rarity out there...unfortunately.
