New member needs good mechanic in SF Valley
So glad to have found this board!
I have a 1997 ES-300 and love it! It's been in the family its whole life, and I recently learned (from the Lexus dealership mechanic) that it needed new struts, a power steering pump and new valve cover. The dealership gave me an astronomical quote so I'm wondering if anyone out there has a mechanic in the San Fernando valley who does good work for a reasonable price.

Bumping this because my friend 818Arlene has a 92 SC300 in the Valley in need of A/C repair and a new P/S pump. Any tips on good independent mechanics in the SF Valley would be appreciated.

I know of 2 1 I go 2 all the time on Van Nuys Blvd btwen Oxnard and the Acrua dealer his name is Danny auto master care its behind the tire shop- he gave me good prices 787-3085 and there is another 1 on Lindley & Parthenia by the railroad tracks they only work on Toyota & Lexus - If u r lookin 4 performance parts let me know good luck.

I can recommend Dan also. He's on Van Nuys just south of Oxnard.
I went to see Dan for a new starter and a radiator for my SC300. He tells you what you need in a straight forward manner, and gives you good prices!
I thought I needed a new power steering pump also, but Dan told me that all I needed was to clean some screen.
I'm going back tomorrow to get some more work done.

My SC is currently in the shop at Mastertech in Mission hills, Sepulveda/Chatsworth. All of my buddies recommended this place, and So far, tehy have been very honest and have pretty good prices.
Im going to get my PS Pump replaced, and possibly my Cam Gasket replaced. Any idea's on what I should expect for each of these?
Im also looking for a place to install my camber kit and alignment, anyone with any suggestions for a very low SC. I keep getting turned away at most normal alignment shops.
