Well this saturday going home I got pulled over by chp
they popped my hood and gave me a ref. ticket
for 27156(b)VC modified smog device
and 27151(a)VC modified exhauste
should i just pay the fine or go to ref
or fight the ticket since my buddy fought his an won
and also has anybody else gone to a ref beforewith there lexus?

i got one a few years ago for my civic and i just paid the fine

4-25-06
after delaying the court date for almost 2 months
i went to court this morning and had my case thrown out since the chp officer
never showed up
thank god i took my friends advice at leats now i dont have to spend atll that money paying the court

just put the stock stuff back on and go ref it and pay the fees. unless ur boosted. are you? im sort of new here so i dont know what you're running. my friend got ref for intake too on his mk3 supra. just install the stock intake and exhaust and take it to a chp office, have them write it off and i think go to court and pay the fee which isnt much.

sorry to hear that man...

so let me get this right, theres 3 things you can do?
1) pay the fines
2) go to the ref
3) fight the ticket

How much is the fine? I would just pay that since you're supercharged and it would be a heck of a job to put that thing back to stock for the ref...

good luck man..

just pay the fine. It would probably cost just as much to remove and reinstall.

Did the CHP take a picture of your engine bay? I would also like to know how much the ticket it might cost as well.

I think you raise a lot of suspicion driving around with G35EATER ( I think that's what it says ) on the trunk. Maybe the officer has a G35.

Sorry to hear man. Good luck with it.

I'd also like to know costs (points? dollars? insurance?) for paying.

yeah how much it is to pay? i don't think there will be points, i don't think that's a moving violation.

if it's just intake and/or exhaust, then depending on the dollar amount you can probably see which one is more

Damn bro, that really sucks. Us boosted guys worst nightmare is to get pulled over and asked to pop the hood.

Let us know what happens....

I think there is a "little" more than intake and exhaust.

the one i got for my civic in 02 was for $800 by la county and they took pix

this one is in ventura county and they took pix also but the funny thing was that the chp officer didnt know what he was looking at he had to call for back and they still didnt know

the thing that sucks the most is i was going to get my whole new setup this week now i have to wait
