"go-to" BODY SHOPS in socal
hey guys, i just stacked my ride last friday and now i'm lookin for places to do repair work. my insurance is liability only so this will be out-of-pocket. i got conservative quotes of $6200 to fix this minor fender bender. labor rates are around $78-80/hr for collision work, $65/day storage. i know la is cheaper and the car is drivable so i was thinking of taking my car down there if i could save a grand or two. what are the rates down there and usually there's a "go-to" shop for the best work and best bargain, or maybe a couple "go-to" guys, so if you could, list off some good body shops for collision repair? there's no frame damage but the core support is wrecked and front will need new bumper and paint. maybe new hood and radiator

Backyard Creations is my "go-to" shop. 
Long story short, I got rear ended by an RX300 on the freeway, dropped off the car at the shop and it came out looking better than the day it was bought (for obvious reasons 
). They did an excellent job on the repairs and managed to fix a water leak I had in the trunk that had been bothering me every since I've owned the car.

I took our SC430 to Hamblins Autobody in Riverside and they were HORRIBLE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. They did a HORRIFIC job on our indigo ink SC430. More to come when i create a new topic on the issue.
