So I'm in desperate need of a new neck chain, but hate buying jewelry from department stores or retail chains. My grandfather had his own jewelry business and I know he rolls over in his grave everytime I even browse the selection at the mall.

Anyway, I work down in Irvine near the spectrum and would love to find a reputable jeweler nearby. That way I can stop in right after work and not have to hassle with that nightmare known as the 5 freeway. Any suggestions?

What are you looking for in particular? White gold? Yellow gold? Certain style?

We (my family) own a jewelry store in AZ. We belong to an organization called the American Gem Society and it's made up of professional and very ethical stores throughout the country. I'll check tomorrow and see if there are any AGS members in Irvine. They might be a good place to start.
