Default Smog Check

Anyone know of a place locally around the 626/909 area that doesn't have a high ramp or driveway. My car is too low and I need to find a place that can accept my car. I also have a cold air intake that is carb legal and prefer not to take it off.

thanks

If your intake is CARB legal, why would it need to be taken off?

What's your ground clearance?

The place I went to 2 yrs ago said he would fail me for visual unless I took off my intake. I told him it's carb legal and he said it doesnt matter.

My front clearance is 1 fist and my sides are 3 inches clearance. I can always take off the front lip which will give me 8 inches or so of clearance.

That smog guy doesn't know what he's talking about

http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...ftermktqry.php

if the CARB says a state ref of a smog station can verify the CARB number, then who is that guy to argue with. Certainly not with CARB themselves.

Type in the CARB # to verify. If it's on there, then you have nothing to worry about. Carb verified means emission isn't going to be affected with the intake (or so CARB says), so I dont know why visually it would hurt emission. lol.

Take off the intake and put the stock on...because they will start looking for other mods.
When taking of your air intake also unhook the battery so it will go back to factory settings.
It will be much easier and less trouble.

Bryan, I just had my smog check done at a shop down at Grand/Edison right off of the 71fwy, so it's really close by for you. No ramp(s) or anything that would mess up that super clean ride of yours. Only $49.99 for smog check alone plus whatever the cost of your registration is. Give me a call if you want to go down there.
