There is PF Changs on pine if your looking for an elegant restaurant. For fast food there is Tasty Goody on Long Beach blvd. Thats about all I know about chinese food in Long Beach since all the "good" places are in cerritos and such.

hmmm "good chinese food" and "fast food" don't really belong in the same sentence... unless you consider panda express good chinese fast food hahah. you're probably not gonna find any good chinese restaurants in the long beach area. if you want a large selection of good restaurants to choose from, then you gotta make your way out to the san gabriel valley. but then again... the term "good" is very subjective.

westminster has good viet food. i dont think chinese food is all that great here exept the dim sum, maybe because im chinese theres a few i do recomend, trui chow on bolsa and newhope and right next door is newport.. for dim sum go to kim su on bolsa and ward. the service might suck but its affordable and good. you might want to try a chinese community, like what ultimax mentioned.. san gabriel, el monte, temple city.

PF Changs or any restaurant that has fortune cookies, are not real Chinese restaurants. Ever notice PF patrons are never Asians? I am glad to have tried PF Changs, so I know not to go back. San Gabriel valley has the best Chinese restaurants in the LA region. None of them will give you fortune cookies.

Nowadays you can't really find a real Chinese restaurant. They all cater to Westerners with different flavors. You can't really call it Chinese food unless they use MSG

PF Chang, the only thing Chinese about that place is the name.

There are also no Chinese food restaurants in Chinatown

Mandarin Palace in Cerritos is owned and operated by Koreans. The food was so-so to me, but definitely not Chinese.

Happy House Seafood Restaurant in Cerritos (Norwalk Blvd. and South St.) is the only decent Chinese food around Cerritos. Their dimsum at lunch is also decent. For real Chinese food, go to San Gabriel Valley.

although chinatown is like a ghost town now, it still has a few pretty decent chinese restaurants. the numbers have certainly diminished over the years, while the sgv grew in popularity.

I like PF Chang's but I don't consider it real chinese food and yeah no fortune cookies because it was invented by an American man, not the Chinese.
