so about 3 months ago while i was up in teh hills of azuza just hanging out with some friends doin some runs in the mountains. i wasnt pushing it at all, just went to cruise with a chick and the guys. well we got raided my CHP and Azuza PD and i got 3 fix it ticket. No front license plate, cracked windshield, and modified exhaust.
since all they're all infraction and are fixable does that mean i dont have to pay the bail amount? Cant i just smog the car, fix the windshield, and put on the front license plate and have a cop sign it off. Then i can just pay the court fees?
my friend had no front lic plate and modified exhaust and he paid 124 for the bail amount. my other friend said that if get my car smog and have everythign sign off i wouldnt have to pay the bail about just the court fees? im confuse because Orange County fix it laws are a little more forgiving. my friend fix it ticket was only 10 bucks for court fees. i dont feel like paying $180+ just for some fixable infraction. so if anyone have any info i can use i would greatly appreciated it. thanks!

As long as you can have the ticket signed off, go to court, see the judge, and 99% of the time they will reduce the fine.
Never ever just pay the fine they send you without first seeing the judge, you'll always pay way too much.

if you're paying 100+ then it's not a fix it ticket. i believe the ticket for the exhaust isn't a fix-it ticket. the no front plate is a fix it ticket... not sure about the cracked windshield tho.
i got 2 tickets once for illegally modified taillights and illegal reverse lights or something like that. each one was about 70 something bucks... they were not fix-it tickets either.

they all said INFRACTION and is a fixable offense. i believe when you get a modified exhaust or intake you have to smog it then show the judge or clerk the smog papers. all others are fixable. trying to figure everything out.

My exhaust ticket was not fix it. It was a 0 point moving violation. My ticket was around 70 dollars. I got this ticket in 2001, if I remember. The clerk and sheriff told me they were no longer dismissible.
If the officer checked the dismissible/fixable box, then go talk to the judge. Maybe the judge will reduce your fine, or move your violation to dismissible.
