Default SUSHI places in COSTA MESA

Where is a good place to eat sushi near or around angels stadium? I will be going to The Grove of Anaheim this week and before we go I want to take my wife to a nice place to eat dinner. Any suggestions?

In Buena Park, there is Karuta on Beach and Orangethorpe, which serves sushi and teppan. Look for the O.C. Weekly periodical, and you can get a "Buy One, Get One Dinner Free" Coupon for your whole party.

In Fullerton, Chomp's near Harbor and Commonwealth is good but very Americanized.

Samurai is my favorite in Fullerton. It's at the corner of Harbor and Orangethorpe. Good stuff!

Last time we checked, the Benihana in Anaheim on Ball Rd was closed for remodeling. There isn't much for Japanese food in this area. There is also a place on Tustin Blvd where Turners is located. It's okay IMO. The Block had a Japanese shabu-shabu place was pretty tasty.

Our favorites: Ebisu noodle house on Brookhurst and Garfield in Fountain Valley
Mimi sushi 18225 Brookhurst Fountain Valley
Men-Bei Western and Torrance Blvd. Torrance

Can't think of any really great sushi places in that area... Koji's Shabu Shabu is pretty good. I've a had a couple of bites of sushi there and it wasn't bad.

Seems like everyone enjoys Koji's Shabu Shabu. I want to try Samurai.

Ever since Mimi Sushi changed owners, they've been crap. I wouldn't recommend them.
