Guaging interest: Total SoCal meet in Irvine? (nice midpoint for everyone)
Hi all!
I'm relatively new to this forum so i'm not exactly sure how you guys set up meets or if you've tried what i'm about to describe before. I am, however, not new to forums and i've been setting up large meets for the NYC area for years for another large forum (before i moved to san diego).
To me, it seems like the meets on here are scattered all over the place for SoCal and they are planned wayyyy too close to the actual date, so noone has time to plan for it. Which ultimately leads to low turnouts and somewhat boring meets.
My thought was to get a large meet together every ~6-12 months in the middle of San Diego and LA. Maybe near the 405/5 fork in Irvine? It would be an easy location for anyone to get to and there are PLENTY of large lots in that area for us to chill in. If we planned it ahead of time, we could bring some food, portable grill, get some other lexus forums involved, etc. Make it a somewhat decent meet.
Now again, i don't know if you guys have tried this before and it's failed. Not sure how reliable/dedicated people are on here. I've tried large meets like this before; some have worked, some have failed. So i want to hear what you guys think. If there's a better location, feel free to chime in. We'll go with what the majority agrees with
Looking forward to hearing from you all
Anyways, thanks for reading what this n00b has to say

Irvine Spectum & Tustin Market Place isn't ideal for car meets.
Had one a long time ago, about 3 years ago, about 30-40 cars. Got kicked out of Irvine, went to a local office building, then got kicked out there also. So we drove to Tustin Market Place, they hounded us there! Called the COPS. So we left.
The security is a (*%#&(
However, there is a nice office building parking lot, ajacent to The Block in OC. Had a meet there, no troubles!
