Tried Jonnies this weekend....good choice
What a throw-back! We had nothing like that back East.
Tried to get to Titos, but just too crowded
Also had a wonderful experience at the Geshia House in Hollywood which leads to my next question
What higher-end restaurants would you recommend? (interested in good food/service....don't really care about celeb watching)

Some of my favorites:

Italian: Valentino's in Santa Monica.

Steakhouse: Nick and Stef's in Downtown L.A.

French: Patina at the L.A Music Center (Downtown).

Unknown and Hard to Find: The Cellar in Fullerton.

Touristy: Napa Rose in California Adventures.

If you like excellent service, creative food, and one of the best overall dining experiences in los angeles nothing will beat SPAGO in bev hills. last time i went with my gf , wolfgang puck said hello to us when we came into the restaurant. lawrys prime rib is whatever, more for tourists or for the show.

Last question I swear (btw, good idea with the Dining thread)
What banks would you recommend for personal banking? Bank of America really blows here (been waiting a month for an ATM card)

Washington Mutual is pretty good. They're just few and far between...
