Lexus STOLEN in San Diego
Got to work at 5am. Parked in my typical lot. 11th street in downtown San Diego., parking spot. Next to the Shell station, in the corner of 5/163 freeway entrance.
Went down there at 9am, to get to a client meeting. Car is not there. Parking attendant doesn't know anything.
Had the car 1.5 weeks.
1998 SC300
Pearl White
Chrome 5 spoke 16s OEM wheels
Spoiler.
Lexus of Carlsbad chrome plate
Tinted windows, all around.
No front plates.
SC430 Exhaust tips
If you guys can keep an eye out, would appreciate it.
Police report done.
At least this isn't as bad as when my brand new motorcycle got stolen with 36 miles on it, in beautiful Berkeley, CA.

Oh shoot... 
My friend just recently got his civic stolen in SD area and found it later in the afternoon stipped of motor and suspension...
Hopefully this doesn't happen to you...

The motor/suspension on the SC isn't worth anything, but who knows about thieves.
I looked long and hard before I found a perfect 98-00 SC, but as luck would have it, wasn't meant to be.
Already paid for coilovers, which I am supposed to pick up in the next few days, and was shopping 19-20inch wheels from Japan.

Car had the stock "beep beep" factory keyless entry. I was just at TLC yesterday, getting some oil filters for the tranny/oil that I was planning to do.
I didn't have enough time to put the alarm in. The police are questioning the parking attendants.
Tony-thanks man. I don't even have the pink slips to the car yet, DMV hasn't even mailed me the new one. Ugh. Just put 58$ of gas last night. Man she was so smooth and so clean. I just don't get who would want to steal a stock SC. There is an EXACT car like mine, owned by the lawyer across the street (for people who know SD, he is at the men's legal clinic). His car just has the gold package.

It shouldn't have gotten towed. I have been parking there for 6 months. My office rents a few spaces. There is a CLS 63 AMG, and a 997 911 Turbo parked on both sides of me. My SC is cheaper than the montly payments on both of those cars.
There is also a Continental Flying spur (the 4 door Bentley GT) in the parking lot.
However, I am in Carlsbad right now, and haven't been able to talk to the parking attendants myself. I am in touch with the detective, who doesn't seem confident in finding the car. However, he told me, that there was a parking attendant change from the night shift to day shift, so there was a time when no one was there (according to the polic).
I find it strange, because it is a very OPEN/busy area, with Jack in the box, shell, and Merril Lynch right next to it. Not a place, where you can break in the car. THere is no broken glass or anything around.
I am perplexed!
