Hey Chris, since the insurance company is picking up the tab why don't you go to a Lexus body shop? Just a suggestion...

From what I know, M1 is pretty good about working with insurance companies.

Just an update.

Flipside909 was on the ball about his estimate. The original estimate was around $700 (labor, paint, chrome bumper trim and tail light). I recieved a call today that the rear quater pannel needs to be repainted. Im going to assume that the paint was taken off in that area.

I dropped the car off Monday. The claims adjuster for Allstate came today and approved the additional work. I'm told that the car will hopefully be done by Friday.

Thanks for all the feedback.

We'll be looking forward to seeing the pics of it all nice again.

What kind of rental did they arrange for you?

I ended up taking it to Autobodyusa. My friends father works there. I didnt go with other shops recomended because they are far from my location and I would have a problem getting home and having someone drive me back to pick the car up after it is finished. Allstate only gives $27 a day for a rental. With this in mind, and also the fact that I am not 25, led my folks and I to not bother getting a comparable vehicle. I am driving my 85 Jeep around that I was driving daily before.

I hope your claim doesn't run into any more problems. Overall, Allstate hasn't given me any trouble.
