Unhappy I got some new paint/body work yesterday *tear*

I was dropping my friend off yesterday at his house so I parked in his driveway like I have done a million times before. We went inside real quick and his dad decides to go somewhere. It's 11:30PM so we were like wTF? As soon as I heard his garage door open I was thinking to myself OHHHH SH1.T By the time we ran out the front door the damage was done. He didnt look as he backed out of his garage. He only realized he hit my car after he was in the street. He got out and said "I think I hit your car."

Its pretty ugly, but it could have been worse. At least no one was hurt. Since the car was parked, its his fault.

I couldn't make it to the meet today guys sry. I was on the phone with Allstate the whole morning. Too bad he didnt want to do this under the table. I could have used the money from an estimate to get a kit.

I'm pissed off right now. Last night I was just in shock mostly. Like HOW THE EFF did he not see my car. Its not like its a small Yaris or something. This is going to eat up time from my spring break. I'm glad it happened during spirng break, but im mad that it happened in the first place lol.

AUG.

If you have any recomendations for a body/paint shop in the LA/OC area please let me know. Wednesday I take it to one of their claims office here in south orange county.
One of my friends told me M1autobody http://www.m1autobody.com/

thanks guys and gals

Ouch, sorry to hear/see what happened, but like SCboy said, it's not that bad.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend M1. If you're willing to drive to the Rosemead area, I would suggest Backyard Creations. Give Joe (the owner) a call at (626) 922-3434.

Yea it isnt that bad. I'm willing to go anywhere that does great work. I'm definetly not using one of allstates shops. Like I said, it could have been worse. Thanks for the sugestions so far, if you guys have any others please chime in. I'm hoping the claim adjusters aren't going to jack me around on Wednesday.

The damage is not bad at all. You're looking at about 0.5 hrs to repair the quarter, replace the right rear taillamp and recondition/remanufacture the rear bumper. Depending on the shop you choose, that should only take about 3-4 days to repair.

I will have to agree.

Looks like only bumper damage. The lights and rear quarter have NO damage...just transfered rubber. You can buff that out with some paint solvent and scratch X.

I will have to disagree. The light is scratched up pretty deep in person. I don't think the paint was damaged on the quater pannel. Im not going to buff the plastic bumper guard off (black crud on the quater pannel) because the adjusters need to still look at the car.

There's alot more damage than just transferred rubber unfortunately. Paint solvent and scratch X remedy minor blemishes like swirlmarks and light surface scratches to the clearcoat.

Not that it matters, but I am a claims field adjuster by profession.

the paint is metallic. leveling metallic paint is no easy task at all. It'll take more than an hour just to fix it.
