Hey guys. I am from NorCal and I will coming down to San Luis Obisbo for ATVing at Pismo Beach. I was wondering if any of you guys who live down there or been there know of anything interesting to do? Like malls, shops, activities, and such. I am coming down with a group of friends and it would be great if we could do more things than ATVing and just walk around. Thanks!

Its kinda funny thats you asked SoCal guys since SLO (San Luis Obisbo) is like dead center of California. But there aint much to do in SLO. I remember just eatting alot up there. Go to "Splash" for the clam chowder. Theres like an outlet between Pismo and SLO, kinda small but its alrite. You can do down to Santa Maria for a "mall" (kinda ghetto). I heard you can go hiking up to the big "P" if your up for something active. But overall SLO sucks!!! The wifey went to school up there and there wasnt much to do besides chill, party, drink or drugs. LoL.

I think that's why no one repleid to this thread cause no one lives up in SLO. When I read cal poly for the title I thought CSU Pomona, cause I go there.

That was my first thought as well, we don't call any other csu Cal Poly except Pomona...

Don't know if this is still relevant info, but if you plan on coming down to SLO in the future its a great area. I go to school there and have a pretty good feel for things around there. San Luis or known by the locals as SLO is just that. A laid back area where you can slow down and enjoy yourself. The shops and restaurants in Downtown San Luis are awesome during the day, and at night the bar scene is always going off. Also be sure to check out Pismo beach for some neat shops as well. The Oceano dunes are about 15 minutes south of San Luis and extremly fun. Just remember to be safe out there.
