Just want to tell you guys to watch your backs. My parents were walking at around 8:30pm on Stoneman (1 st. east of Garfield) and Valley and some punks decide to jack them for their wallets. It was a Civic with "Honda World" plate covers. Did some research and that plate is from Honda World Downey. Just want to give you Alhambra residents a heads up and becareful out there walking at night. If my parents ever point them out to me they are dead meat.


edit: Black 95ish Civic. Young, tall hispanic male with a knife.

Thats unfortunate, luckily they escaped without any harm.

Honda World is also in Westminster next door to Lexus of Westminster.

Yea the punks told them to hand over their wallets if they didn't want to get hurt. For the 12 years that I have lived in Alhambra it has been pretty safe. Just within the last year house got broken into and now this. Never thought it would happen, but yea at least they came out unharmed.

Yea I'm glad they are ok as they aren't so young anymore. They had a "Honda World" plate cover on it. I'm sure they did that on purpose so their license plate number could not be seen.

this is why we all should learn tai chi, kinda like those chinese movie when we're attacked by sword, we use our internal chi and block their attacks!

but no really i think theres some tai chi moves that can you can use to defend yourself in situations like this

Haha don't get me wrong its usually a pretty safe area. I've worked on my car in my driveway during the middle of the night and no issues. Just keep a heads up wherever you go.

Cops came to the scene when my parents called. Funny thing is that while they were on the phone with them, there was another incident reported soon after.

is it me or is the 626 area is going down the drain? i mean it was never the safest place to live but it was pretty decent and rather quiet until recently...well i did get mugged twice walking to baseball practice when i was a freshman but still overall the area wasn't that bad...

just this past year or so my neighbor's home got broken into, then got one of their cars stolen during daylight hours...my aunt's car was broken into when she came to visit and it was just parked outside for a couple of hours...what really got to me was when my bro's system was stolen not too long ago...his car was parked in the driveway in front of the garage behind closed gates...i'm just so paranoid ever since and now i always looking around before i push the buttons to open the gate and the garage...sigh

the more ghetto part of the 626...around del mar and garvey...it's like everything east of new and south of the 10 just gets worst as you go further in...and it doesn't help that garvey intermed. is just producing gangbangers and wannabes...hah i sound like an old fart
