I'm contemplating on going there or not. Primarily for the photo opportunity.

Does anyone know if they allow pro cameras inside? Or just P&S cameras?

All cameras are allowed. Night Shift venue this year is at Coors Ampitheatre - Chula Vista which is all outdoors. Not really a good place for photo ops after sundown. The last Night Shift event at Pomona a few months ago was horrible for pics.

There's no such thing as a pro camera, it's just another very expensive camera. It depends on the end user....

Try going to a WWE show with your DSLR with a battery pack. "Sorry no professional cameras allowed."

But, regular DSLR's are sometimes "okay."

I don't want to take a chance by driving 150 miles just to get turned away from using my camera.

If there is no such thing as a pro camera, then why are they rank XTI, 30D and 1D in all different categories? Entry level, Prosumer, and professional? Your comparison is like saying there is no such thing as an exotic car, just more expensive.

Unfortunately yes. I went last summer to the one at qualcomm only because they had the formula D qualifier there. other than that the whole show is just one big rice show off fest.

^ i think that was at the long beach convention center. i ended up getting lost somewhere inside the convention center trying to sneak in. oh, the good ol' days...

That happened back in 2002 right in front of my friends booth of cars (TWS). Since it was a crime scene, they were held there for questioning and weren't allowed to drive their cars out of the premises until 5am. Since that event one of my friends vouched to never do or go to an HIN ever again. Til this day he has kept that promise.

Any fatalities?

All I recall was a group of friends and myself were on our way, but my buddy had an accident so we called it off.

Later in the evening another one of our friend who was there told us about the incident. Very tragic that stuff like this goes on.
