are you a AAA member? this helps with fleet discounting at santa monica. see bob uchida, i dealt with him with my purchase and was flawless.
santa monica also has the tires for life program. which i have already made a claim for the amount of the coverage.

Notes from afterward in response to comments along the way.
The Longo prices were good but not the best. The one bid from a broker, Autoland, was surprisingly high. Santa Monica Lexus would not give a number via e-mail, thus eliminating themselves from contention...they were the only dealership to choose not to do things my way. For some of the negs posted in this thread, I found Jose Contreras and his crew at Cerritos to be very helpful over phone & internet...says nothing how they'd have been if I'd walked in the door. After this experience, I will definitely do the internet process again when next I buy a car; it cleaned out a lot of the underbrush as I moved towards making a decision. I still had to go to dealerships to take test drives, look at the actual cars, etc. but it streamlined the process a lot and I felt that I'd done a good job of due diligence by the time I made my buying decision.

Congrats on your new purchase. $240.00 although not much is still a good savings.

Still happy with my purchase but I deduct points from Jim Falk Lexus for calling today and saying they were uncertain whether we were financing with the credit union or not and had the Encore program, which gives us a lower rate if we buy another car with them, been explained to us?
The Encore program had been explained quite clearly and we were both firm and clear in saying that we were financing through the credit union.
Feh.

Might a drive, but Valencia Lexus great. Look for Jeff Miles...I got mine there. Really great people who didn't force anything on me. I did all my dealing over the phone and e-mail. Once I went to pick up the car, I think it was the fastest purchasing process I have ever had. Give them a try.
