Dude...really...after you think about what you just asked, try looking up this company. The removed a ding that I had from a shopping cart for $80.00 and you cant tell it was there.

On this forum we are usually respectful when we respond to each other. This is what makes our forum stand out.
Door dings are usually not reported on carfax to the best of my knowledge. Now if this door ding is an actual dent and easy to detect then it's best to fix it. As far as disclosure I don't believe that cosmetic damage to the body of a car is legally required and almost any used car out there has a ding or two. Please post pictures and show us the extent of the ding.

I had a door ding on my rear passenger quarter panel just above the wheel. I called up a local toyota dealership (even though I have a lexus) and asked them who do they subcontract out to take out their minor dents. They gave me the number of a gentlemen who is a mobile guy because he comes to their dealership to fix their cars. I called the guy he came over to my house and I payed him 40 bucks. He basically popped my trunk, and he had a bunch of the medal rods that had tons of bends in them that can get a dent massaged out, and massaged the dent out. 15 min fix and now I can sleep at night. No reporting to carfax!!

i got rock chips in my rear door of all places and the need to refinnish my back door, the work is under 500.00 so i dont think that qualifies to be reported to the DMV which is where car fax gets thier information. Last time i looked ( about two years ago) anything under 1500.00 is not reported to the DMV unless it was causes in an accident.
correct me if im wrong......
anyway depending on the damage you may be able to have a mobile dent guy remove it? post up some pics so we can get a better idea what you are working with.

The procedure that 2IS250 described in called PDR or Paintless Dent Repair. A good PDR technician can often repair the ding so well that you won't even be able to find the spot where it was. Around here, the price is more like $75.
