Recommendations for a nice night out...
hey my SoCal peeps,
need your help! anybody have any recommendations for a nice dinner/night out? I was thinking more along the lines of a dinner cruise or mystery dinner or something cool or out of the ordinary. I've seen the thread on elegant dinners but its usually just expensive steak or seafood.
I was thinking dinner cruise cuz the view should be great, its romantic, but im guessing food isnt all that?
Maybe mystery dinner cuz we normally wouldnt do that for dinner, and its kinda cool too...
can you guys think of anything else? A nice dinner would be fine too but should have a nice view, unless the food is 110% exceptional
THANKS!!!

Dinner cruises and dinner theater are SOOO cheesy and boring, and typically have crappy food for high prices.
Pack a nice luxurious picnic basket with fresh fruit, cheeses, and a couple half-bottles of wine. Take it to the Hollywood Bowl. Enjoy the show under the stars!

I honestly had low expectations for the food, but it was decent. The show itself was cheesy but fun. Booze was on the expensive side though. If you just let loose and want something "cute" then go here. btw it isn't romantic at all since your in tables of like 10

DO NOT go to the Pirate Dinner show. I'm all for the cheesy factor... but this show was terrible. Food was blah, entertainment blah.
Put it this way, each pirate had a color which would represent the table area you sit at. I walked into the hall, saw a large group of "Chinese" tourists (I'm Chinese btw), and I saw that one of the pirate colors would be Yellow. I told my co-workers that went, "Hey watch the yellow will be a kung fu, samurai, pirate."... just like clockwork, Mortal Kombat Scorpion Pirate steps out with full Yellow Garb. Very cheesy.
The old Wild Bill show was better.
Mystery Dinners is cool. Or Magical Castle dinner would be good. There's always Medieval Times which is solid. Or even have a nice lunch at the Ivey and star gaze if you're into that. But stay away from Pirates

I went on a dinner cruise in hawaii with my husband.....it is a good thought...until you find out you are sitting at a table with other people you dont know and kind of feel forced to make conversation with them.....im not antisocial but not exactly great for a romantic dinner that you were expecting....you know what i mean?

I once took a girl to Vegas on a whim.... took her shopping and had dinner at one of the casinos walked around and drove back home... had her leaning on my shoulder the whole drive back to LA... spontaneity is key... (uhh no RH though) J/k
