Default Recommendations for a Man Salon...

Yeah. I need to pamper myself.

Looking for a male-oriented spa. Someone that does a straight razor shave, shiatsu/sports massage, med-icures, etc. Someone that knows how to cut men's hair properly.

Women-oriented spas are too "gentle" or "limited" to what they can provide for me. And I hate it when I go get a mani/pedi and they ask if I want my nails painted...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

there is Metro in Irvine off of alton and technology, they are ok, not sure of everything they offer, but they have a mens only type of environment that has pretty good services. They are smaller than some but definitely upscale.

There is also another one in Irvine that I dont remember the name of, but is off of Jamboree and Michelson upstairs from SX and wahoos. They are newer but have what seems like more extensive services with massage and those kinds of things. If I was going to go somewhere, I would go there since they cater well to a bit younger generation that doesnt require you to be a CEO to feel good about going there.

Good luck, I am curious about others comments.

Check out this place. It is in Studio City on Ventura Blvd near Laurel Canyon.

Not sure where you live but I can recommend you to Karen Allen Salon in Riverside. Its not a male only salon, but from personal experience, they cater to alot of male guests. Massage and nail services are great. =) And just to let you know, theres no "Happy Endings" on their menus. =)

Hey, hey, hey...

I'm straight as an arrow...

I just want to be serviced. Just like your cars, I need to be cleansed and polished and modded.

I haven't tried it, but I did find out that is the closest one to where I live.

I checked out their website, and they're very approachable.

I'll try it out one of these days...

They just opened this year and I've been there for only a haircut, but I plan to return.

It's very modern with extremely friendly employees - all women I believe.

There are flatscreen TV's everywhere... built into the mirrors of each cutting station and even one or two on the ceiling to watch while you're getting your hair washed. AND, you get to hold the remote. (Does it get any better!)

Give it a try, if it sounds to your liking.

I just have one of my boys or my brother line me up. They know what I want and my likings alot better than random hair stylists. I guess this applies to fades, tapers, line-ups only though.
