I got a ticket in monterey park about 2 months ago... its no longer a fix it ticket... I learn it the hard way the officers told me it was a fix it ticket ... so i went to take everything off then went to court have them sign it off to show them that I took it off... Then went to go pay for the ticket then the lady said it was fine and no longer was a fix it ticket and telling me the officer that give me the ticket and officer downstairs who check out my car was wrong. so i end up paying $20 to take off the tint , $130 for the fine , $ 60 for new tint.

I just paid my fix it ticket for tint, tinted tail lights and no license plate yesterday and it cost a total of $10 for all. This is from a CHP in Ventura Co.

Recently i got 2 tint tickets. One was given by the Van nuys PD, and the other was Highway patrol. The time frame between the two was 3 months, and the first one was cleared before i got the second ticket. Both tickets i was to report to the Van Nuys Courthouse.

The one given to me by the VNPD, was marked correctable. $10 with proof of correction

The one given to me by the CHP was marked non-correctable. $180 fine

dont know if different law enforcements do it differently, but it might shed some light on the situation

I think it depends on the police officer themselves. Mine was given by a CHP and he marked it as correctable.
