This is OT - I've been meaning to ask you but never got a chance....but did you ever use the Aveda Hair Salon gift certificate I gave you awhile back?
I used mine for a hair conditioning treatment and it was awesome. I just loooove the smell of Aveda hair products, don't you?

Can't "out of lucK' members simply show up and chill (Outside parking lot) or something ??
OK.... I TOTALLY understand Liz's point view and compromising part, BUT I just feel akward to say NOT to come simply b/c they didn't sign up ! I KNOW I KNOW.. that we only could fit 50 or so people.

I wasn't able to get ahold of all the sponsors today for final head count, but as of today there are over 70 people and over 59 cars.
I promise to get a bigger place for next year!!!!!!

I am down to bring a sack lunch and look at the cars.
So if I can parking spot that would be cool. If I cant I'll just park somewhere and walk over.
Maybe we could make a list of the "extra" people and we can go eat some where else. Is that alright? Or even a standby list.

I don't like turning people away either Jay, but I have to look at the big picture. The big picture is we are over capacity. Its probably okay if some extra people come to the parking lot, but I can't guarrantee a parking spot for them. I'm sectioning off our area with orange cones.

Imagine what a headache it would be if this was a Pre-paid only event. That's what happened to my Fiance's class reunion... people dropping in at the last minute, tried to pay with checks, etc. In the end, 15+ extra people tried to cram into a space allotted for the pre-paid people only... 2 people's checks bounced, people couldn't find a seat, some people felt awkward for the ones that came at the last minute because you want them to be part of it, but can't offer your own seat...etc etc. Big headache. She didn't want to have to turn people away for the event, but that's the only way to have it organized.
So ya, I appreciate all the efforts by Liz and everyone helping with this event.
