Default My RX got keyed. Will insurance cover it?

After coming out of the UCR's campus health center, I found my entire car got keyed ALL AROUND...not once, but TWICE! So basically there is 2 different lines going all around the RX, which is damages to all panels. The damage did not look like it was done by a key, but rather a sharp object of some kind. The health center is located right next to the freshmen dorms, so had to be them walking by and had nothing better to do.

I called the police to make a report in hope that my insurance can cover it. I won't be able to call until tomorrow afternoon and hope that they are open. Anyone know or have had this problem?

i hate when people doing that. Sorry to hear that Lisa85. Been there....but seems like yours is worse

as rominl said, just claim and pay the deductible. but it MIGHT increase your monthly rate....(not sure tho?)

not positive but im pretty sure that insurance is not allowed to raise ur premium based solely on an act of random vandalism.....but they may just figure out a way anyways.

sidenote: i go through that area all the time, when did this happen?!?!?!?

ur talking about lot 15 right, where they've been doing construction all week?

ouch! sorry to hear the bad news! insurance should be able to cover it tho... you'll just have to pay your deductible. almost 5 years at ucr and i left without any type of incident to my integra... knock on wood i guess.

Yikes....sorry to hear about that. I'm pretty sure your rate will NOTgo up. All you have to do is pay a deductible and let them paint the whole car.

I hate it when people do this. Makes me wanna ***** ******* ******** them.

They can claim stuff like "we didn't know the car was going to spend so much time in such and such a neighborhood. Because you're parking your car for x amount of the week we're going to increase it to match the normal rates for the area"

Was it keyed during the day? If so, whoever did it must got some ***** to key it twice since it's a high-traffic area because freshmen usually pass by the lot to get to campus.
