I have to give a +1 on this post. I also bought my IS from Peter around May 2006, and it was nothing short of an amazing experience. A year and a half later, I saw him and he shook my hand, asked me how my IS was doing, and how San Diego was. I was shocked he remember not only me but what car I had bought from him, and where I went to school. To top off the friendly service, he gave me an AMAZING pricing when I purchased the car last year, and spent an hour tops on the whole deal. I would easily refer anyone buying a Lexus to him!

Woo hoo congrats Henry. You have some catching up to do. I have almost 8k on my GS now.

I'd like to hear some of the nasty stories about the other dealerships. How did Newport Lexus treat you? Oh by the way, congratulations on getting the LS and the GS. They look very good together...

Not to bash the sales.. I'm sure Peter and staff is pretty cool from what everyone says... but if I walked into a Lexus dealership asking to purchase a LS460L, I would expect the best service. Not to say they don't offer the same killer service if you asked for a lower priced Lexus, but wouldn't you be expecting above average service from all the dealerships you went to? I would be surprised to hear any dealership not giving you the best attention after you say.. "I'm here for a LS460L"
I went with a friend to buy his dream car, a Ferrari 430 and I had to say, it was the best service in any dealership I've ever been to. Spend the top dollars = best service.

1) it shouldn't matter what car (lexus in this case) you buy. even if you are buying the IS, you should get the same treatment as buying the ls460. i never, and would never, expected "better" service just coz' we were getting the ls460l. i would HATE that
2) when we were looking for ls460, we were actually purchasing TWO ls460l. but you have no idea what stories i have for you. i will post up in another thread about my bad sales experience. let's just say some sales lost TWO ls460 sales AND my gs350 sales
