i did the spring installation with my bro...
saved myself a LOT of money..
although it was for the sc400 >.>
but then again its a SPRING installation.. its basically the same.. take out the shock.. and replace the spring..

its time consuming.. yes.. but not hard.. make sure u have two people..
1) safer
2).. easier

yea

300 bucks can buy u...
something else ;]

If you're not mechanically inclined and don't have a decent assortment
of tools, I would not recommend attempting this as a do it yourself project.

You'll need (at a bare minuimum):
-spring compressor
-breaker bar, 1/2" drive
-sockets, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm
-penetrating oil
-an impact gun is helpful for breaking the top nut loose on the strut caps
-at least one floor jack and a pair of jack stands

-be sure to make a note of the orientation of the strut upper caps when
you disassemble them- makes reinstallation a bit easier (I use yellow grease pen)
-also note the routing of brake lines
-be careful of ABS sensor lines

-plan to spend at least a half a day doing this; I've done many, many cars
but being careful and detail-oriented it still takes me 3-4 hours to do a spring
swap (from tools-out to shop cleaned and tools put away and wheels back on)

Or, pay someone to do it...

Also, I'd recommend having the suspension realigned afterwards.

okay guys... my coworker has a mechanic friend who works at an actual shop during the week but yesterday he was avaialble at home and did my install for really cheap... cheapest hookup i could find.

it wasnt easy from what i saw... definetely 3 to 4 hour install with powertools. he was very professional except for the AFS light now flashes... he said he could reset it for me but i told him ill have to get back to him cause it was getting late.

pm me if you need his info and would like him to help you out with stuff.
