Default Things to do in SoCal

Greets and happy holidays to everyone. Taking a road trip down to SoCal this weekend and wanted to know if there were any particular places I should see/do with the SO while we're down there?

Places if particular interest are: Dining and Massage. Not massage parlors mind you , but actual spa like places.

TIA

We'll be in Anaheim for Disneyland, but we're mobile and have Nav. So any place you guys can recommend would be welcome. Thinking of doing Lego Land or Wild Animal Park in San Diego just for kicks.

Any Spa recommendations?

Realize that Lego Land and the Wild Animal Park is a bit far; about 90 minutes from Disneyland if you drive conservatively. You do hit some wineries along the way, just in case you need a few bottles of wine...

If you want something fun, Universal Studios is a good choice. Knott's can get sleepy, but it's fun for the kids. I actually like taking kids to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, with plenty of restaurants and sights to waste an afternoon away.

If you want something artsy, the Getty Center or LACMA are great choices. Getting tickets to see something at the Walt Disney Concert Hall is also an experience, or seeing Wicked at the Pantages if you can get tickets beforehand.

If you want to go shopping, South Coast Plaza is less than 15 minutes away from Disneyland, and has a lot of high end shops that will empty bank accounts (without the long drive to Beverly Hills). The Grove in L.A. is also a good place to shop, with the Farmers' Market nearby to grab some grub.

Finally, if you want to just enjoy the sights, a nice ride on PCH from Huntington Beach to Dana Point is scenic and relaxing. You can finish that ride by having dinner at the St. Regis Monarch Beach; it's pricey, but ultra-lux.

Anyways J/K but i have to agree with Phil. He did mentioned alot of hot spots in So CAl. You should definately check it out. Just a precaution, drive safe when you get here. Lotsa crazy drunk drivers, specially during the holidays and weekends.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Had lots of fun down there. Even managed to go to South Coast Mall. That mall is pretty damn complete!

Only thing I regret not going to was Super Autobacs...
