fix it tickets are. simple get it fixed and get it checked and signed off and pay like 5-10 bucks for the ticket. or pay a fine if you dont get it fixed. see if your ticket says its a fix it.

I got a tint ticket a few weeks ago. He didnt give me a warning or fix it ticket, just a fine. It was 131.25 I was pissed, but I didnt take the tint off. Im not going to sacrifice the way I LOVE my car to look for a bored cop with nothing to do but look for ways to screw people. My tint isn't even bad, its 20% all around. I've had 3 other cars with 5% and NEVER got a ticket.
If I get another ticket I suppose I'll get them tinted 'legally' but til then, I just paid the ticket and roll down my windows when I see a cop.

I don't think anyone here can provide firm legal consulting advises, but here are my 2 cents:
1. Follow the law.
2. Becareful on car mods... and follow the law.
3. If the law ask you to pay... follow the law.
4. At least have a cop friend... and follow the law.

5. Try to follow the law as much as you can when you are about to break the law... after breaking the law, then follow the law.

Thats your problem right there.. cops in irvine give tickets for everything. that area's too safe and the cops get bored... my friend ran across the street to go to school and got a jaywalking ticket. move to the ghettos, they wont hassle you over car mods over there. haha

Hey everyone, I just received a ticket for window tint in the Orange County California area (Irvine). The cop who gave it to me said something about the tickets no longer being fix-it tickets but actual fines now. I dont quite understand this. Does that mean I will have to go to court? Will I have to show them I took off my tint or can I leave it on and just pay the fine? He said the fine is going to be around 80 bucks. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

thanks everyone for your input, i think ill just go to court with a different car and pay the fine (like 80 bucks?
) and I was going to get my tint fixed from the shop anyway since I have lifetime warranty on it. There are heat streak marks on the driver side tint so I'll just ask them to fix it and while its off, I can take a picture of it as proof that it was off (temporarily that is) lol

Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for me to ask this so sorry if it is. Anyways, I just received a ticket for window tint in the Orange County California area (Irvine). Once upon a time, they had a person or dept. there that is up to date on the Vehicle Code and can answer with authority on these types of questions.
I haven't tried in a while....
