Default Going to Socal for a presidents weekend

Hey all, Well me and my cousin are planning to go down to Socal for the weekend. We dont really know what we are going to down there but its going to be mainly to get away from the Bay Area. Alright, So can you guys recommend some not so expensive restaurants in the Socal area that are really good and not bad in prices?

What are some attractions to visit or stuff to do? other then china town and the beaches?

Thanks

Socal has such a diversity as far as food goes.

I can't recommend any places. I don't usually eat out a lot, even though I've lived here all my life

Best inexpensive restaurants are in Chinatown and Little Tokyo in Downtown L.A. Also, ThaiTown on Hollywood Blvd is a good place for grub.

Near the meet in the O.C, I suggest going to Felix Intercontinental Cafe (Cuban food) in Orange, and Burrell's Louisiana BBQ in Santa Ana.

Attractions: book tickets to go to the Getty Villa in Malibu if you've never been. It's an excellent place to go to, and you can drive along PCH in Malibu or some spirited canyon runs further north.

Also, the Walt Disney Concert Hall has a couple of concerts this weekend. There is a tribute to Nat King Cole, which should be a nice collection of jazz and American standards.

Go to 3rd St. and the Pier in Santa Monica, Bucco Di Beppo is right there on 3rd. You can go to the Westwood Village and there's a good Italian spot called Pomodoro just south of Wilshire on Westwood Blvd.

You can go to the Grove in Fairfax District, clubbing and bar hopping in Sunset/Hollywood, Universal Citiwalk in University Studios area, D & B's at the Block in Anaheim, dude sky's the limit. The only limit is your budget.

Have fun and enjoy the weather and the females.....

It's on the corner of Brookhurst and La Palma.

I still pass that restaurant every other week...
