smoking out tail lights CA LAW
I am thinking of smoking out my tail lights on my 07 is250, but i was wondering if the cops really do care? i know it is illegal here in socal california, but is it worth geting it? do you think i will get pulled over for sure?? thx plz put up ur comments

Yes. It's illegal.
But unless if it's completely blacked out (as opposed to lightly tinted), you won't be pulled over for that alone. If you are caught doing something else, cops will most likely address the issue, just like missing front license plates or tinted front windows.

Depends on where you go....I got pulled over for music, and get this, wrong color turn signal. It was in my Carrera, and turns out the yellow coating on the bulb itself cam off, and so it was white....I was on Sunset on Friday night....Cops were lined up and looking for ANYTHING to pull people over...I asked why and they said they wanted to write a bunch of tickets so people wouldnt come back....

Right. Smoked taillights and a driver behind you with illegal tint on his/her windshield can be prelude to a serious BOOM! if you come to a sudden stop. Perhaps I’m an old fuddy-duddy but I don’t understand the attraction to illegal mods.
