Henry,

hmm...i went there twice so far. if you enjoying park atmosphere, i'd suggest go to :
Chase Palm Park
323 E Cabrillo Blvd. Santa Barbara, CA 93101
and Santa Barbara Botanic Garden if you have extra time.

Santa Barbara Botanic Garden
1212 Mission Canyon Road Santa Barbara, CA 93105
i'm not really familiar w/ a good food around santa barbara tho...

Wine tastings.

Pick a winery. Any winery.

Make sure you have a picnic basket filled with goodies. Cheese and fruit hold up well without refrigeration...

Gota go to the original and last remaining Sambos for breakfast,
then head up the hill to the Mission, if you are into historical past.

Wahoo's Fish Tacos. Somewhere in downtown SB, very different from lovely OC. Pretty nice for a change.

511 State St
Santa Barbara, CA 93101
(805) 965-0618

Dr. Phil is always about the winery, lol.

It's making me hungry just thinking about it.

Maybe it's time for me to take a drive down to Santa Barbara / Ventura area.

There's a place called "Something Fishy." Pretty good sushi bar if you're into that stuff. I believe it's in the downtown section of SB.

The Cajun Kitchen in Goleta is always a good eat.... Hit up the mission while your there.

Anything going on at the SB Bowl? Drive up to the Cold Springs Tavern......It's more of a Harley hang out, but it's cool.... Take a drive up the 154 and then down East Camino Cielo. Nice little view of the city. On a good day, you can see Refugio to Ventura.

Or just be touristy and walk State Street for all the niche shops.

That's it, State Street.
I was trying to remember if it was State or College Street before I respond.

I think there's a small Thai restaurant there too

I believe the pier is nearby. The both of you can take a nice walk on the pier with the small novelty shops and have some ice cream

We stopped by Santa Barbara on the way home from Solvang and Hearst Castle
