Fog Lamps STOLEN
Just giving GS peeps a heads up, Peeps living around, Burbank/Glendale/Eagle Rock area, watch out for some douchebags that got nothing else better to do.
My fog lamps was jacked while I was parked outside my friends' apartment by San Fernando , close to Holiday Inn, Burbank. I got out of the apartment and lo and behold, by bumpers are empty. It was parked behind a truck along the street. But it was nice of them to tuck my connectors in, and to leave it alone.
I called Keyes Lexus looking for parts and the person on the other side informed me that a lot of people have been calling in iquiring about foglamps, he also infomed me that majority of them are from the Glendale/Burbank area.
So just a heads up.
On the same subject I was looking for fogs, right, so I called, Lexus of Glendale, James, the person on the other line quoted me 230 for a set of fogs. I repeated myself telling him that I want a set coz mine got stolen, he said yes, left and right and they have it in stock. So I cruised by LOG and when I ask them for the fogs they said for my car, an 02 GS, it is 140 each. WTH?!? the 230 is for a 98+ GS. I told the guy on the counter that it is the same one and I want the 98+ fogs. of course he has to order it but he can give me the 02 GS fogs for 140 each. Ripoff

Tell him to stick a shovel up his exit hole. The fogs from 98-05 all have the same part number for their color.
Maybe Lexus of Glendale hired people to steal off fogs so they can get customers
JK.
But this time get some custom screws. I'm not fond of the regular phillips screws.
You can usually find a set of fogs on CL for about $120 used.

*****, someone jacked my front bumper and fogs from my E36
like a month ago someone jacked my M3 front bumper and fogs.
someone said they just park a truck or car in front of your car and act like they are working on the car and then throw the parts into the back of the truck then just bounce. Nobody even suspects anything.
Still today I am rolling on no fog lights, but when they jacked my fogs, they were nice enough to leave my connectors un-broken, the tabs are all ok.
i live in arcadia too.
When I called in my bumper and fogs to the police, they said some other car had the bumper and fogs stolen also.

wow this sounds like the time when kids would go around stealing integra clear corners. it was just a single philips head screw. takes a few seconds to unscrew it and pop it out and instead of taking the sockets out, they would just use a wire cutter to snip the 2 wires and they're off in less than 30 seconds. i was able to find a square headed screw from home depot and used that to secure my corners. not sure if they still have those screws anymore tho...

There's some info on there to swap out your screws with allen screws. I did this mod a couple of years ago and haven't had any issues yet.
