Anyone ever tried Castaway in Burbank? Not exactly a steakhouse but its fine dining.

 

I personally did not like Turner New Zealand at all.

But if you're in the OC...go to Mastros...right across the street from Turner New Zealand, great steakhouse.

 

I tried castaway, GREAT View but okay pricey food. Its more for the view not for the food. For great steaks/prime ribs you should try Flemings in El Segundo or Rancho Cucamonga, or even JJ's steak house in Pasadena.

 

Quality at JJs and Morton's at Costa Mesa (or is it Anaheim?) has gone down a lot lately. I agree with the prime rib at the Stinking Rose

 

I have to recommend Summit House in Fullerton. It's very classy and specializes in Prime Rib & Steaks.

man i have passed by that place so many times, never noticed there is a restaurant @_@

 

theres this one in OC its in city of buena park. its just like swap meat. in front of wal-mart and sears.

 

Mastros is good, but if you're going to pay Mastro's prices, go to Mastro's Ocean Club. The food is good, but I don't know how you guys might like the atmosphere. I went with my boys and when we were waiting for a table at the bar, we've never seen so many social climbing gold diggers in my life.

 

oh? what is it? that's 5 mins from where i live. i only recall a burger place and i think chilis?

 

I'm no prime rib connoisseur but I know Gullivers in Irvine is suppose to be a good prime rib house that's been there for years. It's right near John Wayne Airport.

I had the prime rib there, it was pretty good. But Im not expert and I pretty much eat anything lol..I havent tried anything else there.

 

i had it there too. it was good, but not as good as houston's imho

but it's a fantastic restautant overall though!
