Official Gas Strike day. The day before TORC and BimmerFest, don't buy gas. Either you buy gas the day before on the First or fill up on the 3rd.

If nobody buys gas on May 2nd, then the gas companies will need to maybe start gas wars like before.

Either you take your bike, carpool, catch the bus/train/taxi, etc just try not to buy gas that day.

Let try and get the gas prices back down so we can enjoy driving our cars here in CA.

 

what difference will it make, they'll still be getting their money on the 1st or 3rd.

 

+1 this stuff never works for some reason. I actually didn't buy gas one day and skipped work...but the gas price didn't even budge

 

It never works because you'll be pumping gas anyways. In the end, they still make the same amount of money no matter when you buy your car.

if you could go without gas for a longer, significant amount of time, and get enough people to do the same, then MAYBE that will have an effect. one day is ..nothing.

 

Whatever gas you don't buy that day will just be available the next. You would need like half the country for many days. The demand is up world wide, not just US.

 

My gas is almost on E, i will wait it out and fill up on the 2nd.

 

If you HONESTLY think that ONE DAY is going to have an effect on gas prices then you really need to wake up!

 

Stop this nonsense "don't buy gas day". OPEC know that gas is just like air and people can't live without it. Maybe May 2nd i will fill it up full for the very first time with my current car.

You want to make a difference: take public transportation for a month.

 

However, the majority of our oil comes from Canada, not Opec. Opec wont affect us too much.

 

if you guys want to make a difference, don't buy from chevron texaco, exxon mobil, shell, BP..and all of the other major gas companies, when they realize that we are serious about not buying their gas, they will take the steps to get their customers back.

The real way to lower gas prices is for everybody to use less gas! why the hell is there even a point to go to TORC or bimmerfest? it's just a waste of gas, spend your day exercising or going to the park. The world shouldnt revolve around gas and we shouldn't let the gas companies control us. If you want to meet, meet up with local members, not everybody drive to one place in all of socal just to look at cars, especially when you can already see them online...
