I'm assuming this NavHack is to allow phonebook display, etc.? I actually been wanting to possibly install a DVD player and play DVDs on my non-ML Nav screen (it's been done in non-ML Navs before but haven't seen or heard from a place that does it).

(no referrals until i get my red-outs!)

I'd say to get the nav hack plug n' play box instead of doing the cut wire method.

more expensive but that's what i have on my gs350 and previously ls460l. fully plug and play and no wire cutting, no need to worry about voiding warranty

so it's a tradeoff between cost and warraty

pocky> i believe we'll revisit the topic of red-outs @ the luau meet. /OT

IS_NIICE> are you also installing a vaistech kit? because if you are, you might as well get it all done in one shot like i did. saves you the trouble of removing your center console more times than you'd like.

btw, that vaistech unit - depending on where you mount it - is pain to shoehorn into certain locations (read: behind center console/transmission tunnel).

and if you get someone reputable - like tommy @ music box - to do the nav hack + vaistech install for you, you will not have issues.

yeah i was planning on doing them both together...as soon as the GB starts. i talked to him over the phone and got a price, but my car is a lease so im kinda shaky about my options. he DID say it was reversable though =\
