SC BBQ and Photo meet idea thread
If you have a sc and you live in socal sign up to this list
I'm making this thread to get ideas of where and when to hold the Socal SC meet.
The goal of this meet is to bring as many of the Sc's together at one time in a scenic/cool weather location. The only place we're going to get cool weather in the summer is the beach. This location will also need food/bbq area and a large area of parking where we can group the cars together. Also must be in a central location for northern LA and SD.
Saturday or Sunday what works best for you?
How many weeks away should we plan this?
Do you guy want to do a curse? before? after?
I was thinking about babo island but I doubt there is a large enough area for us. Does any one know that area very well?
When we do nail down when and where, I think we should PM all Socal SCs that haven't signed up as well as putting the info in all of our sigs.

Ok, I know everyones very excited
so I am going to give a few updates and remind everyone about the goals of this meet.
Location: Will most likely be here. I need someone that has been to this location to give it a thumbs up. The location is not set in stone yet so if you know a better beach location that has all the following; enough parking to allow for large empty areas so we can all park together, 7 dollars or less to park, food as in restaurants and/or a BBQ area, a central location to the northern LA and SD area. I picked the Redondo beach location by just looking over parking lots with Google earth, so if its a bad location let me know. Don't suggest something just because its closer to your house. I think the area that I picked is a very fair location.
The date is going to be set very soon. I am thinking as soon as we hit 40-50 in the email thread we will start the one month count down (give or take). The good thing is that we are already very close to that it looks like were at 38 as of right now. As soon as all the details are nailed down and a offical thread I am going to ask O.L.T. if we can have a thread run in the SC forum for about 2 weeks.
Again, I am going to ask that everyone place a link to this thread and the email thread in your sig. This makes any post you make a little mini add for our meet

And hell, just PM cali people that you would like to see at the SC meet.

I think we should try to get over to emails instead of PM's because we can track them and send out emails to "lists" of people much more easily. Try to get everyone to sign up on the email thread, if anyone doens't want to post it publicly they can just email me their info and I will include them in the first emailing out to everyone.
I'm down for a bbq/cruise. If you guys want to meet at my place thats cool, and we can cruise up the crest after. My house is in pasadena. Depends how many people we get. The rose bowl is another meeting place we can start at and then cruise up the crest. Thats pretty far for the SD guys, though, so maybe somewhere between OC and LA would be better?
I think we should try to stay away from especially busy places, and saturdays. A lot of people work sat.

I say somewhere along the coast...must have a big lot with free parking. I didn't know this was gonna be a full on BBQ.
I'll go for Sunday morning...around 10am. End of July maybe??
