I'll be there Friday. My first too and I'm mostly there to keep bro-in-law company. I do wanna snap pics of the fans in drag. I also wonder if Olivia Munn will be there from G4.

Yeah I went on opening day, Thurs cause the other days were all sold out already, except for Thurs and Sun so I went for Thurs just for the loot, so they didnt run out lol. Comic Con is almost the same every year and it all depends on what you want to see.

Oh and yes Olivia Munn will be there and they are signing autographs on Sat I believe it is.

It was as I expected, mobs of people of a comic genre. I had an interesting time and fun. It changed a bit when the crowds reminded me of a giant ant colony but it total chaos. That was not fun.

Got up at 4:45am to get ready. Drove to B-I-L's place and we headed off for the almost 2 hour drive. With the traffic snarl, we finally parked the car about 8:30, walked the 1/2 mile to the convention, got our entry passes and waited in the lines. Photo #2.

We walked the entire convention and some sections in multiples so come evening, I was pretty tired. The concrete flooring was hard on my feet and lower back. All in all amusing, I'm just not a big crowd type person. If I go back next year, I'd like to have a Simpson-ized portrait of the Mrs. and me by Phil.

One thing I don't get and it also applies to other conventions is the cheese:
Bench Warmers, several individuals...WHY?!

Most of them attend these shows in sleaze factor: things protruding and make-up applied by a HLVP spray gun.
