If you can go down a little further to La Jolla I would suggest George's for lunch or dinner. Great view and I like the food. Kind of pricey since it's in La Jolla.

Live there 2.5 years. Don't go to Chula Vista/National City.
Best breakfast in town, The Cottage in La Jolla.
If you like Korean Food, across the street from Inifiniti dealer in Kearny Mesa (corner of Convoy/Balboa basically) best Korean BarBQ
Extraordinary Desserts-great place to take a date, down the street from Balboa Park.
Harbor in downtown and in Coronado.
La Jolla Cove.
Good luck, have fun.

LOL Basically dont drive south of the 8 freeway. Check out the beaches. malls, seals. I personally recommend Sunset cliffs, that place is awesome, theres a place where u can walk down to the tidepools n chill
I remember my aunt and uncle came from CT and we took them to fashion valley mall, next thing they spend 3.5K at the LV store because they dont have one over there.

Go to www.pipescafe.com
They are of the 5 fwy before getting to San Diego. They have some good breakfast burritos and french toast. I always stop there for breakfast on my way to San Diego.

If you're a romantic type of guy, take your girl on a gondola cruise. Here's the website: www.gondolacompany.com
"...The Gondola Company is your Passport to Italy. Indulge in all the magic and tradition of Venice right here in San Diego as you gently cruise in a private gondola through the enchanting canals of the Coronado Cays. Whether it’s a relaxing journey or a romantic adventure, each cruise is A Truly Memorable Experience."
Be sure to make a reservation. Enjoy your stays here in San Diego !!
