Default Help! Blackout tint in LA: court summons/tickets & it's not my car!!!

Hey there! So, my man and I share the car and we have blackout tint on all windows (except the windshield, of course!). He has been warned a couple times and given a fix it ticket once. His name is on the title, the loan, etc... and we are both on the insurance.

I got pulled over and ticketed for blackout tint & no brake light visibility due to blackout tint. It's his car-and he refuses to retint-so why do I get the ticket? I have to go to court soon and I don't know what to do. Anyone got any ideas

If the car is registered to your bf, then the fix it ticket should be issued to the owner of the car, not the driver. It should have been sent to the owner's address.

It wasn' a fix-it: it was a notice to appear and a hefty fine. I wish it was a fix it! I wouldn't want it to go to him either-we share a bank account so no matter which one gets it we both pay it

then why does it matter who gets the ticket if ur both payin for it? and you probably got the ticket because you were the one in the car driving.

although it says non-fixable violation on your ticket
you can still treat it as a fix ticket..

trust me..I've done it before..just get it check by the officer when you
remove the tint and take that to the court..
and pay 10 bucks..maybe 15 if it went up
