Yes all 4 Lexus' have been leases but I never felt the need to warm up any of my cars in sunny SoCal. I think the last time I bothered to warm up my car was back in college and I had an old Toyota Celica with about 150k miles on it? My more recent cars have all been new or fairly new.

I wait till the rpms drop, which is usually 15-30 seconds...unless I'm late for class or work.

I do similar to above, once the cold start idle drops, I put it in gear and go. I don't go high RPM anyway so the first mile is sub 40 MPH and I have 2 lights to stop at most times. By the time I'm at the freeway, the engine temp is nudging above the 1/4 mark.

Not getting repaired, it's a total loss. Just waiting on other insurance companies to pay me and take it away. It really sucks but I can't really do anything but laugh along.

I"ll idle for 20-30 seconds, then drive it slow until the temp gauge goes even.
