So here is an update to the thread. Everything went through smoothly and I have long finished collecting 1997+ & misc Vertex pieces so I am ready to get this finally taken cared of finally.

I am undecided on whether I should get the car repainted since the clear coat on the rear pillar of the driver side has started to deteriorate and I have misc imperfections such as rock chips, dings, etc here an there. The car is a 1992 after all.

I am also undecided if I should get a good PDR guy to do it before repainting it since I would like to avoid bondo.

So if you guys have any recommendations, please respond to the thread or email me directly at theperfectexposure@gmail.com

Budget is a major thing so I don't have 3 grand laying around to splurge on a 1992 daily with 195k miles. I just want something thats presentable since I this is my daily and it is bound to receive scratches, rock chips, and dings right after.

I have contact information of the PDR guys, that worked on BEN's LS460 at the holiday meet. I'll text it over to you.

Those guys did well but Ben has another guy who repaired a big gash in his door; which some people thought only was fit for bodyshop work...I will vouch for that guy personally. You should PM Ben to see if he has that PDR guys number.

so you didn't get your car fixed through insurance? did you get quotes and take the cash?

sounds like he got it appraised and kept the check so he could get the work done where/when he wanted to.

believe it or not that really isnt that bad. take it from a person who has been in a few fender benders...

find a local doordents or dent-king....they can do wonders. even if they dont get it back to its original state they will atleast get it back to a good state where all you will need to do is have the shop skim it with bondo and make it look new again.

I had some really bad dents in the roof of my car due to the hood flying up and they did wonders!

its actually cheaper to do it this route =)

save some of that insurance money and get some parts....

If you really want to nail the bastard that did this go back to the place where your car was parked at time of occurrence and look around for ANY cameras. Since this is a gym there should be cameras for safety during dimmer times. Also you can go to the surrounding businesses and the gym to see if there was any witnesses who reported it. Believe it or not there may be some good people out there who reported it to the local businesses and/or PD. Good luck!

Yes, the whole incident was painless. I got it appraised by his insurance's body shop and they sent a check super fast.

I might shop around for PDR and then for a body shop.
