i cannot believe i am cleaning this thread. stay on topic and be courteous. it's a serious fire and a lot of people are affected. if you can't seem to respect others, stay out of the thread

^
thanks Henry
wish there was something I or collectively we (CL/So Cal) could do to help those in need...

best wishes, safety, and health to all those affected.

for all those stuff in the traffic and complaining, think of those who lost more than the time being stuck in traffic

This is just a couple blocks from my parents' house: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...allery?index=5

I'm glad the family is safe, but really tough getting through the night without any news of our home. I'm all for driving back tonight to check if I know the roads will be open, but it could be a long wait.

I was leaving my friends house tonight and found out Carbon Canyon is on fire, looked horrible!

Hopefully everyone who lives in that area is alright!

I found this video on you tube of the brea fire,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4ipe3ISqtg

looked like a war zone though this afternoon!

This fire is so unreal...Last year, around this time we had a fire towards santiago canyon/tustin on Jamboree area. I was with my cousin evacuating. It was seriously like Armageddon.

I live in yorba linda though, so when this fire hit it was unbelievable. My friends are getting evacuated. Several of them lived in hidden hills; they don't even know whether their house is still there or not. It was crazy hearing about my community on the news too...

For those that don't know, CBS has a google.com/maps thing going on for the fires.

http://cbs2.com/firewatch/#corona_fire

It is fairly accurate. Gives you a better idea of where the fires at. Hopefully with the cold air tonight it'll help and they can have it contained.

Diamond Bar The Country has mandatory evacuation. Wind is calm but humidity is still low.

Our thoughts are with all you folks in these areas.

My comment for the locals, don't play tourist. While having dinner last night, I heard a few people and one in particular comment he brought beach chairs, and was going to head up to Bastanchury Rd to watch. , This adds to the traffic and for residents who need to come go, these spectators don't help.

I couldn't get from one end of Cerritos to another on 91 or 605 due to the traffic issues effecting the freeways in the area. If you don't have to be out, stay off the roads.

I live in DB and I can see the fire from a distance. I am about 10-12 miles from the Country and my friend who lives there has evacuated. I hope this fire gets under control.
